La Roche alumna, former trustee and faculty member Sister Michele Bisbey has played an important role in the University’s history.
“I have lived through and contributed to the many iterations of La Roche College,” Sister Michele said. “We keep getting better and better for the world. I’m grateful to be part of that heritage.”
Through her professional work, Sister Michele embodies the University’s legacy. At La Roche, she is the division chair of humanities, a professor of religious studies and holds the Ketteler Endowed Chair of Theology. In November 2011,
the Irish Voice Newspaper named her to its list of 2012 Irish Education 100, which recognizes leading educators of Irish heritage.
“As a full-time employee of La Roche University, I am privileged to share the mission and charism of the Sisters of Divine Providence in my everyday work,” she said.
