Academic advising begins when you deposit and continues until the day you graduate. We assist you in developing academic and career goals, discovering the right major, navigating college policies and procedures, and utilizing the resources needed for a successful college experience.
Provided Services
- Schedules for all new first-time, full-time freshmen
- Advising new students during add/drop period their first semester
- Advising undeclared students (students without a declared major)
- Assisting students who are considering changing a major, adding a second major or adding a minor
Once a student declares a major, a faculty advisor is assigned to that student. The office also provides support and training for all faculty advisors to ensure that all students, regardless of major, have access to a quality academic advising relationship.
