ACT RESIDUAL TESTING

The ACT Residual Test is a standard exam measuring English, mathematical, reading and science skills that students have developed and need to be academically successful.

It is offered to students who have officially applied to, been admitted to or have enrolled at La Roche College.

      The test is approximately 3-1/2 hours.  The tests are administered between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in the Freshman Admissions Office, located in the Rimbach Building, 8650 Babcock Boulevard, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

      La Roche College does not offer preparatory workshop as this information is available through the ACT website as well as books and other online resources. 

      Free ACT practice tests can be found at: 

       Results of the ACT Residual Test are emailed to the individual student.

      Registration for ACT Residual Testing:

      Contact Susan Funderlich, the ACT Test Administrator in the Freshman Admissions Office, 412-865-2524, to schedule your test appointment.  

      All ACT residual tests are by appointment only. 

      Important Information:

      The applicable testing fee is $50, payable in cash only. (Checks and credit/debit cards are not accepted.)  

      The non-refundable fee can be brought in on the day of testing.

      The following information is required:

      Plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled testing time.  Late arrival is not permitted to test.  

      The ACT residual test may only be taken once every 60 days.

      Test results can only be used at La Roche College. The test scores WILL NOT transfer to other colleges by transcript or any other means. No student reports or high school reports are generated. Students planning to apply to any other institution must take the National ACT. Unlike the National ACT, the La Roche Residual ACT test is used solely for acceptance to La Roche College.

      Accommodations: It is the policy of La Roche College to provide reasonable accommodations to qualified students with disabilities in accordance to federal disability laws. Requests for accommodations for ACT Residual Test and appropriate documentation must be provided in advance to Sarah White, Coordinator of Accessibility and Compliance at La Roche College.
