Bryce Vine, The Ghost Club to Perform at La Roche University

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 19, 2023 – Today La Roche University announced its Spring Concert lineup featuring rapper Bryce Vine and Pittsburgh alternative rock band The Ghost Club.

Hosted by the La Roche Concert Council, the Spring Concert will take place in La Roche’s Kerr Fitness & Sports Center on Thursday, April 13. Doors open at 7 p.m., followed by the concert at 8 p.m. Tickets are available to the public for $25 and $15 for La Roche students.

“We are so excited to get the La Roche Concert Council back up and running post-COVID. Students have been working hard to bring an act that has broad appeal to our student body and beyond,” Assistant Professor of Marketing Rishi Bahl, Ph.D., said. “Our students have done virtually everything to get this off the ground: talent buying, concert operations, marketing, social media management and more.”

Headliner Bryce Vine presents a genre-bending, East Coast-meets-West Coast sound all his own, drawn in equal parts from the bass-heavy reality rap influence of his father, the bright, pop sensibility of his mother and a childhood spent between New York and Los Angeles. His keen blend of laid back, in-the-cut hip-hop and anthemic choruses prompted Entertainment Weekly to praise his “boundary-pushing aesthetic” and TIME to say he “sounds like the definition of cool,” while VIBE asserts, “You can’t put Bryce Vine in a box.” He recently made his major label debut with Carnival, released on Sire Records, with inspirations that run the gamut of the pop culture zeitgeist, lyrically referencing his favorite sci-fi TV shows, ’90s nostalgia and commentary on growing up in LA, while effortlessly fusing the punk spirit of Blink-182 with homages to Tupac and Outkast.

Bryce Vine hasn’t slowed down since his breakthrough success with the 2X Platinum “Drew Barrymore,” spending 2019 on sold out headline tours across the U.S., earning further hits with the Platinum “La La Land (feat. YG)” and “I’m Not Alright” with Loud Luxury, and accumulating more than 720 million streams worldwide with over 15 million streams per week. He’s performed on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, WendyWilliams, The Kelly Clarkson Show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, and Live with Kelly and Ryan.

The La Roche Concert Council’s primary goal is to provide the opportunity for students to help bring quality music to the campus while learning the ins and outs of talent-buying and concert promotion. The organization is comprised of students, faculty and staff. For more information visit larocheconcerts.com.
