Each year La Roche University officially welcomes its new freshman class at Academic Convocation. The event is traditionally held as part of Freshman Orientation and features a convocation address speaker, a faculty address and a candle-lighting ceremony.

La Roche University will officially welcome its new freshman class at Academic Convocation, held as part of orientation. Event highlights include:
- Invocation
- A candle-lighting ceremony
- Remarks by Sister Candace Introcaso, CDP, Ph.D., president of La Roche
- A faculty address
- A convocation speaker address
New students will accept the La Roche Honor Code and officially become part of the La Roche community.
