Adjunct Professor, Doctoral of Nurse Anesthesia Practice

The Graduate Health Science Department of La Roche University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Professor, Doctoral of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program. The adjunct position will be located at La Roche's main campus located in the North Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh. This is a part-time position teaching a course in the spring and summer. Position is available for the spring 2025 semester and summer 2025 semester.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of academic expectations of students.
  • Teaches one 3 credit course in the spring and one 3 credit course in Summer. Courses have been developed and are ready to be taught in a six part didactic series.
  • Provides input on semester evaluations of students to Program Administrators.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Pennsylvania License.
  • Graduate of an accredited program of nurse anesthesia with current certification to practice nurse anesthesia by the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Graduate of a doctoral program is required.

This is considered an adjunct (part-time) faculty position. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts. Applicants for this position must be currently legally authorized to work in the United States.  LRU will not sponsor or take over the sponsorship of an employment visa for this opportunity.
