Itinerary: Oct. 18-30, 2024

Friday, Oct. 18: Overnight Flight from Pittsburgh to Athens
  • Board your flight from Pittsburgh to Athens.
Saturday, Oct. 19: Arrival in Athens
  • Meet your travel director and transfer to your hotel. Dinner.

Sunday, Oct. 20: Athens - Acropolis

  • Take a morning guided tour of the city, including the Acropolis, followed by a free afternoon to explore hidden corners of the city and to do some shopping in Hermou Street and Plaka area. Enjoy an evening of Greek culture and cuisine while watching local dancers perform to traditional music.
Monday, Oct. 21: Athens – Saronic Gulf
  • Embark on a day cruise of the Saronic Islands of Aegina, Poros and Hydra. Lunch is included and served on board.
Tuesday, Oct. 22: Nafplion - Mycenae, Epidaurus
  • Morning departure for Nafplion, with a stop at the incredible Corinth Canal. Continue with visits to archaeological sites of Epidaurus and Mycenae. Dinner and overnight in Nafplion.
Wednesday, Oct. 23: Nafplion - Palamidi Castle
  • Morning drive to Palamidi Castle for spectacular views of the town. Free afternoon in Nafplion.
Thursday, Oct. 24: Delphi/Itea - Drive and Visit
  • Morning drive to Delphi. Guided tour of the archaeological site where ancient Greeks asked for counsel from its fabled oracle. Visit the Temple of Apollo and the Delphi Archaeological Museum. Dinner and overnight in Delphi/Itea.
Friday, Oct. 25: Athens – Drive, Arachova
  • Morning departure for Athens, with a stop on the way in the beautiful mountain town of Arachova. Farewell dinner.
Saturday, Oct. 26: Fly to Pittsburgh
  • Transfer to the airport to board your return flight to Pittsburgh.
Saturday, Oct. 26: Skopje - Flight to Skopje (Extension)
  • Board your flight bound to the capital of North Macedonia - Skopje. Transfer to the hotel upon arrival. Dinner.
Sunday, Oct. 27: Skopje - Guided Visit
  • Take a guided visit of the city’s highlights, including some of the 300-plus monuments that give the city its nickname: The City of Statues.

    See Porta Macedonia, a triumphal arch constructed in 2012 to honor 20 years of Macedonian independence and the 50-foot statue officially known as “Warrior on a Horse.”

    Continue in the afternoon with a drive to Lake Ohrid, one of Europe's oldest and deepest lakes. Dinner and overnight in Ohrid.

Monday, Oct. 28: Ohrid - Exploration

  • Spend the day enjoying the old town of Ohrid with its medieval churches, monasteries and open-air ruins that stand alongside traditional houses with red-tiled roofs. You also will go on a boat ride to admire the beauty of Lake Ohrid, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Tuesday, Oct. 29: Skopje

  • Drive back to Skopje today for some further exploration. Spend time in the Old Bazaar, the second biggest Ottoman bazaar of its kind in Europe! Farewell dinner.

Wednesday, Oct. 30: Return Flight to United States

  • Transfer to the airport to board a return flight to the United States.

Participants should register with their names as they appear or will appear on their passports.

Payment Deadlines

  • $500 deposit: Feb. 20
  •  $1,000 second payment: April 1, 2024
  •  Final balance: July 1

Standard Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing, including by email. The date of the cancellation is the date on which Hart Travel Partners receives the notice. Payments cannot be transferred to another account.

Cancellation Fees

  • 180 days or more prior to departure: Full refund less a $350 cancellation fee and insurance premium if purchased.
  •  179-120 days prior to departure: Full refund less 25 percent of program cost and insurance premium if purchased.
  •  119-60 days prior to departure: Full refund less 50% of program cost and insurance premium if purchased.
  •  59 days or less prior to departure: No refund.
