College Preparatory Ballet Program

Earn college credits for dance requirements and core academic coursework.

La Roche University offers the University Preparatory Ballet Program in partnership Bodiography Center for Movement, a dance conservatory owned and operated by founding director and chair of the Performing Arts Department Maria Caruso.

The program allows you to complete dance and academic core requirements, and gain college credit for those courses. You also may use your accrued preparatory credits toward La Roche’s Bachelor of Arts program.

Cost 

Tuition for the program is $580 per credit hour.

Auditions and How to Apply 

The University Preparatory Program accepts a limited number of students per year and requires students to audition in person following the prequalification process.

Auditions are by appointment only and are held on Monday evenings during a ballet class from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Bodiography’s studio in east Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. Students will be notified about admittance immediately after the class.

Application Process 

You will be notified and offered official application information once you are accepted into the program. After your application is processed, the Office of Freshman Admissions will confirm acceptance and send registration information.
