Adult Students
If you’re 25 or older and ready to pursue your bachelor’s degree, you’ll find the flexibility and convenience you need to achieve your goals at La Roche University.
Applying as an adult undergraduate student at LRU is easy and free, and our Admissions team is here to support you every step of the way.
The guidelines below will help you submit your application and take the next step toward your degree.
How to Apply
These items are required for your application to LRU.
Portfolio Reviews for Design Majors
If you plan to major in graphic design, or interior architecture and design, you may be required to participate in a portfolio review with a faculty member.
This review assists LRU in the evaluation and placement of design credits. You’ll complete the portfolio review after you’re admitted but before registration.
Credit for Life Experience
If you’ve worked in the field you plan to study, we offer Credit for Life Experience so that you can:
- Lessen course loads and take advanced courses sooner.
- Save money with a reduced fee for life experienced credits.
- Satisfy prerequisites, academic core requirements and general electives.
If your past experience relates to courses offered at LRU, we allow you to apply 30 credits of prior learning toward your degree. Credits may not be used toward the last 30 credits of your college residency.
To gain academic credit for work or life experience, you'll develop a Credit for Life Experience portfolio, and the Writers' Center at LRU will assist you with this. The portfolio should include a written narrative and supporting documentation to demonstrate your proficiency.
