Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast

Join us for the 25th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Breakfast celebrating unity and honoring the legacy of Dr. King.

Doors open at 8 a.m. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m.

This year’s northern area recognition of Dr. King will focus on the theme, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” The keynote speaker is Dr. Angela Reynolds, chief executive officer of YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh.

The MLK Unity Breakfast Committee will honor local high school students who have a dream for a better world with the Spirit of Unity Essay Awards. In keeping with MLK Day of Service, several local nonprofit organizations will share their need for volunteers.

Following the program, attendees can choose to participate in a service project for the second half of the morning.

If you would like to donate to a food service project, please bring a non-perishable food item to be shared with an area food pantry.

Registration
Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students in grades K-12, plus online processing fees. Advanced registration is required by Jan. 15. Register now.

The MLK Unity Breakfast Committee consists of members of American Association of University Women - North Hills Pittsburgh, the Congregation of the Sisters of Divine Providence, La Roche University, North Hills Community Outreach, North Hills Ebony Women Inc., YWCA of Greater Pittsburgh and members of the North Hills communities.
