La Roche University strives to ensure a welcoming and safe environment in which all members of the campus community are treated with respect and compassion.
The Center for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion offers resources and support to raise awareness, provide education and empower students who identify as members or allies of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary and queer communities.
Student Resources
Gender & Sexuality Alliance (GSA)
This student organization provides a safe, non-judgmental space as well as a support network for the LGBTQ+ student body.
Preferred Name Change Process
Students may designate a preferred name that they want to be known by in the University’s systems.
Counseling & Health Services
This office offers a supportive environment for the LGBTQ+ community with educational resources, and a uique experience for each person.
Inclusion Council
The La Roche Inclusion Council is comprised of staff, faculty and students who are charged with helping to advance the institution’s goals of becoming a more inclusive and equitable campus community.
Allies at LRU
La Roche regularly hosts employee Safe Zone trainings to promote LGBTQ+ awareness education. These workshops educate faculty and staff on gender pronouns and LGBTQ+ vocabulary, and help to cultivate a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
