Dining on Campus

From fresh salads to pizza, pasta, grilled items and more, you’ll find many of your favorite foods at LRU.

SAGE Dining Services, our dining team, creates unique menus with your wants and needs in mind. Each day on campus you’ll find variety, crowd-pleasing favorites, and delicious and healthy meals made with high-quality ingredients.

Cantellops Dining Hall

Located in the Zappala Campus Center, the Cantellops Dining Hall is a buffet-style, dine-in venue that serves the entire LRU community, including faculty, staff, students and their guests. The Dining Hall is the perfect place to meet and catch up with friends over breakfast, lunch or dinner.

      • Continental Breakfast ~ 9 - 11 a.m.
      • Lunch ~ 11am - 2 p.m.
      • Light Fare ~ 2 - 4 p.m.
      • Dinner ~ 4 - 6:30 p.m.
       
    • Saturday and Sunday
      • Brunch 11:30 a.m. - 1:15.p.m.
      • Dinner: 4 - 6 p.m.

Redhawk Café

Looking for a quick meal or snack in between classes? Our Redhawk Café is a to-go venue that serves made-to-order burgers, pizzas, salads, Starbucks coffee and more. Place your order on a kiosk, choose from a selection of prepackaged items, or order for pick-up using the Touch of SAGE mobile app.

Hours of Operation: 

  • Redhawk Cafe
    • Monday - Thursday 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.
    • Friday 8.a.m. - 3 p.m.
      Hours sometimes vary based on campus events and scheduling needs.

Street Hawk Food Truck

LRU’s very own food truck, the Street Hawk, offers drinks, snacks and specialty foods such as tacos, gourmet grilled cheese and breakfast items. Food truck dates, menus and locations are announced throughout the semester. Credit, Hawk Dollars and Apple Pay are accepted.

Can’t make it to the Dining Hall or Café to see what’s cooking? Use the free Touch of SAGE® mobile app, available on iOS and Android systems. Use the app to order meals, view menus, filter allergens and eating patterns, and rate your meals.

Student Meal Plans

All resident students are required to purchase a meal plan for the year. Commuter students can purchase an optional meal plan by the semester or use a Hawk Dollar Debit Plan. 

Options for 2024-2025 Academic Year:
  • Red Hawk Meal Plan
    (mandatory for all freshmen)
    19 meals a week and $120 in Hawk dollars
    Cost: $2,621 per semester
  • Providence Meal Plan
    6 meals a week and $580 in Hawk dollars
    Cost: $2,482 per semester
  • Ketteler Meal Plan
    10 meals a week and $175 in Hawk dollars
    Cost: $2,294 per semester

Your student ID card functions as a meal card and Hawk Dollar debit card. If your card is lost or stolen, immediately contact Public Safety at 412-536-1176.

Food Restrictions and Allergies  

At LRU you can enjoy a safe, delicious meal no matter what. SAGE dietitians identify common food allergens and restrictions, and then customize menus to meet those needs.

You can use the Touch of SAGE® App to filter out foods containing certain allergens or speak with the SAGE team to address any specific needs.
