The Mass of the Holy Spirit is a Catholic liturgy that takes place around the world to mark the start of the academic year. The tradition dates back to the Middle Ages and is a time to:

  • Ask for guidance and wisdom from the Holy Spirit
  • Thank God for creation and salvation
  • Invite the Holy Spirit to be with the community
  • Grow in joy, prayerfulness and wisdom
  • Welcome the new school year
  • Look forward to a year of learning and engagement
  • Rededicate oneself to the school's mission
  • Renew friendships
  • Welcome new members

The Mass is open to all students and employees, regardless of religious beliefs.
