La Roche’s annual Alumni Homecoming Weekend celebration allows you to revisit campus, catch up with old classmates and reunite with the faculty and staff who defined your college experience.

        This yoga class is designed for a wide range of fitness levels, and for those with and without prior experience with yoga. The course includes slow, gentle movement alongside guided mindfulness and meditation practices. Accommodations happily will be made as needed to ensure that each student finds comfort throughout the class. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, and should bring a yoga mat and water. Pastries and beverages will be available after class.

        Registration is limited to 15 participants.

        Trees of Campus and Grounds Tour Presented by the Center for Lifelong Learning 

        10 a.m.

        Did you know that the trees on La Roche’s campus are all catalogued and have a unique history to them? Did you know that the grounds of La Roche were very specifically and intentionally planned? Join Jon Colburn, one of La Roche’s long-term grounds staff on a tour of the trees and grounds that beautify our campus. Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes. Participants must be able to walk and stand for the full length of the tour.

        Meet inside the Wright Library to begin the tour.

        Class with Sister Rita (AGAIN)
         
        Presented by the Center for Lifelong Learning

        Palumbo Science Center, Room 101

        1 p.m.

        Join Sister Rita Yeasted, SFCC, Ph.D., for one more lecture—but this time, only for your enjoyment. Sister Rita will present a lecture (topic below) and allow time for questions and interactions with her favorite people: students and former students!

        The New York Times, in light of the drop in elementary reading and math scores after the pandemic, recently published a series of articles answering the question, "What Is a School For?" Sister Rita will explore a related question, "What is College For?" 

        Light refreshments will follow in the Father Peter Horton Lounge.
