Students in Residence at Vincentian
The Students in Residence Program, offered in partnership with Vincentian Collaborative System, offers a unique opportunity for LRU students to live and interact with seniors at Terrace Place at Vincentian, an independent living community for individuals 55 and older.
How it Works
- If you're accepted to the program, you'll live in a Terrace Place apartment with another participating student for one academic year.
- In exchange for free room and board, you'll spend time with residents for a minimum of six hours per week.
- You may volunteer to provide technology assistance, organize events, perform light housework or provide dedicated social time.
How to Apply
Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be entering their sophomore year or higher.
- Have a current GPA of at least 2.5.
- Be in good standing with the University.
- Submit a completed application and three references.
Vincentian requires all students to obtain appropriate clearances, a TB shot and an annual flu shot. Students also undergo a physical and a drug screen.
A maximum of six LRU students are accepted each year. All University policies apply to the La Roche Students in Residence program.
