Adjunct Clinical Instructor – Mental Health Nursing
La Roche University is seeking qualified candidates for an Adjunct Clinical Instructor position in Mental Health Nursing for our innovative Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) program—the first such program in Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct, manage, and evaluate student learning during mental health clinical experiences at local healthcare facilities and the University’s Clinical Simulation Center
- Facilitate the development of therapeutic communication, psychiatric assessment skills, and clinical reasoning in various mental health settings
- Guide students in providing compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals with mental health conditions
- Assist students in integrating psychiatric-mental health theory with clinical practice, specific to course learning outcomes
- Collaborate with course instructors on student learning activities, progress, and concerns
- Support students in developing cultural competence and reducing stigma in mental health care
Education/Qualifications:
- Current Pennsylvania RN license and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
- Minimum of 2 years psychiatric/mental health nursing experience required
- Clinical teaching experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with mental health simulation scenarios a plus

This is considered an adjunct faculty position. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts.
