Simulation Coordinator - Nursing

The Nursing Department of La Roche University continues to enhance and expand health programs, and is seeking candidates for a part time Simulation Coordinator opportunity scheduled to begin in the Spring of 2025. The part time Simulation Coordinator will be based at La Roche’s main campus located in the North Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh and will support the faculty and staff of the Nursing Department and the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Director of Simulation.
  • Assists with the development, implementation, revision, and monitoring of lab policies, procedures, use, and operation.
  • Manages the scheduling, usage, and tracking of simulation lab equipment.
  • Ensures lab cleanliness and oversees equipment maintenance, repair, and replacement.
  • Programs and operates simulation software during scenarios.
  • Provides support during simulation activities.
  • Maintains lab inventory, including safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
  • Provides targeted support and guidance to students in skills areas as needed, and appropriate in collaboration with faculty.
  • Works with Nursing faculty to appropriately integrate lab operations, obtain maximum utilization for the most efficient expenditure, and to moderate student costs
  • Creates and maintains a respectful and professional working environment, incorporating active learning, reflective thinking, and a confidential debriefing process
  • Models professional standards, including customer service, collaboration, communication, excellence, and attendance
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania RN license required
  • Earned Master of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Experience with simulation lab equipment and software a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
