Adjunct Professor - Medical Statistics

La Roche University is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Adjunct Professor - Medical Statistics.  This is an online graduate-level course within the Entry Level Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) program. The university is located in the North Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, PA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Course Instruction: Deliver engaging and comprehensive online lectures on medical statistics tailored to graduate students in the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice program.
  • Course Development: Design, update, and refine course materials, assignments, and assessments to ensure they meet program standards and learning objectives.
  • Student Mentorship and Support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and academic support to students to enhance their understanding of medical statistics as it applies to nurse anesthesia practice.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments, grade assignments, and provide timely feedback on student performance to support their academic growth.
  • Collaboration with Faculty: Work closely with other faculty and program administrators to align course content with the broader curriculum and accreditation requirements.
  • Utilize Technology for Online Learning: Use Canvas learning management systems and other educational technologies to facilitate an interactive and effective online learning experience.
  • Stay Current in the Field: Keep up to date with trends and advancements in medical statistics and nurse anesthesia practice to ensure course content is relevant and evidence.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Prior teaching experience at the college/university level
  • Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas

These are considered adjunct faculty positions. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts.
