The Department of Communication, Media and Technology at La Roche University is currently seeking candidates for the position(s) of Adjunct Faculty – Communication, Media and Technology to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. This job posting is not for a specific assignment or for a full-time faculty position, but rather for a pool of candidates who may be considered for part-time teaching.

The department is seeking applicants for courses covering: broadcasting, media law, digital communication, social media, organizational communication, and message design. Courses are available throughout the year, including potential summer opportunities. Undergraduate courses meet twice a week in-person on La Roche University’s campus located in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, PA. Graduate courses meet one night a week for 8-weeks and are online synchronous courses.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Communication, Media Studies, or related field.
  • Prior college/university level teaching experience preferred.
  • Professional experience is preferred.

Candidates must pass background clearances prior to the issuance of a contract. Review of applicants will begin immediately; position open until filled. 

This is considered an adjunct (part-time) faculty position. Adjunct faculty are hired for a specific teaching assignment and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts.
