- Incorporate knowledge from the liberal arts, sciences and nursing as the basis for nursing practice that is culturally competent, fiscally responsible, and socially relevant
- Integrate nursing research and evidence-based practice in to professional nursing
- Promote competent nursing care at all levels of prevention across the health care continuum
- Examine the leadership role of the professional nurse in practice, research, education, and service
- Utilize technology to manage knowledge, communicate information, facilitate decision making and provide quality nursing care
- Integrate legal, ethical principles and professional values within the role of the BSN prepare nurse to promote quality health care and professional nursing practice
- Analyze the role of the nurse as advocate in working with clients, families and the profession through involvement in political process and health care/client care policies and practices
