Transfer Students

Here at La Roche, we welcome transfer students year-round, and we make transitioning to a new school as easy as possible.

The guidelines below will help you easily apply and plan for your first semester at LRU. Once you submit a complete application, you’ll receive an admissions decision within 10 to 14 days.

How to Apply

These items are required for your application to LRU.

Credit Evaluation

LRU accepts up to 90 transfer credits from accredited colleges and universities where you have earned a C or higher.

Working with an admissions counselor before or after applying to LRU, you’ll complete an unofficial evaluation of transferable credits.

Within one month of applying, you’ll receive an official credit evaluation from the La Roche Registrar.

Portfolio Reviews for Design Majors

If you plan to major in graphic design, or interior architecture and design, you may be required to participate in a portfolio review with a faculty member.

This review assists LRU in the evaluation and placement of design credits. You’ll complete the portfolio review after you are admitted but prior to registration.

Financial Aid

Need-based aid is available for eligible undergraduate students, including transfer students. You should complete the FAFSA at the time of applying.

Merit scholarships at La Roche range from $12,500 to $15,500 for full-time transfer students. We also offer a $4,000 resident award for living on campus, and a $1,500 scholarship award for Phi Theta Kappa members.
