The Adventures in Lifelong Learning program invites members to join Bonnie Thurston to reflect and learn more about John the Baptist as they prepare for the Advent Season.
A combination of prayer, conferences and silent reflection will provide an opportunity to understand his role and how it impacts us today.

Bonnie Thurston resigned a seminary Professorship and Chair in New Testament to live quietly in her home state of West Virginia.
A Thomas Merton Scholar, she has written or edited 24 theological and/or spiritual books, most recently, "St. Mary of Egypt" (Liturgical Press, 2022), and seven collections of poetry, most recently, "Not Sonnets" (Cinnamon Press, 2022).
Copies of her book, "Hidden in God: Discovering the Desert Vision of Charles de Foucauld," (Ave Maria Press, 2016) will be available for purchase at tan author’s discount. She is an avid reader, walker and gardener.
