First-Year Move-In Day

Bold Hall
Friday, August 23, 2024
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

La Roche University students moving in to residence halls.

All incoming first-year and transfer students who are not part of the Early Arrival process will move in on Friday, Aug. 23.

Arrive any time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. We recommend arriving after 10 a.m. to avoid the busiest time. If you cannot arrive between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., please contact Patrick Bussiere, director of Housing & Residence Life, to discuss alternative move-in arrangements: patrick.bussiere@laroche.edu.

Enter campus via the Babcock Boulevard entrance, and follow signs to the top of the hill.

The check-in process will be a drive-through setup in the main parking lot, with various tents providing important information and your room key.

After check-in, you can proceed directly to your residence hall to begin moving in.

Early Arrival Groups

If you're arriving early for University-sponsored reasons (Athletics, Orientation Leaders), we will email you detailed move-in information closer to your arrival date.

For other early arrival requests, please email patrick.bussiere@laroche.edu. Approvals are limited to extenuating circumstances.

Room Assignments & Changes

Your housing assignment is available on the Housing Portal. If you don't have one, please email patrick.bussiere@laroche.edu as soon as possible. We encourage you to reach out and get to know your roommate.

For roommate or room change requests, contact us by Aug. 5. We'll accommodate requests based on availability. Requests after this date will be addressed during our Open Room Switch process in September.

Preparing to Come to Campus

Before you come to campus, please make sure you complete the following ahead of time:

  • Review the list of approved and prohibited items.
  • Make sure you're aware of our Student Handbook. This handbook outlines a range of important policies that all students should know before coming to campus.
  • Ensure that you have completed any necessary forms such as the 2024-2025 Housing & Food Services Contract Application, and resolve any financial holds on your account.
