Why did you choose LRU for interior architecture & design?
I chose LRU for interior architecture & design because I loved the welcoming community and the connections La Roche has within the community. I felt confident with the program and loved the environment.
Describe what it’s like to work and collaborate in the Design Studios at LRU.
La Roche’s Design Studios provide students with such an inspiring place to work and collaborate with others. Being able to access the CAD/Mac labs and studios at any time of day or night is great.
How did LRU prepare you for your field?
As a student I completed two internships. I learned so much while working alongside professionals in the interior design industry, and I was able to gain even more confidence in my skills.
LRU prepared me the most by teaching me professionalism and how to make connections and relationships with others. Networking is an important first step as an interior designer, and it starts as a student.
How would you describe LRU and its faculty?
Even though LRU is a smaller school, it comes with many benefits. Having a smaller class size is beneficial because you are able to make a connection with your professors. Being able to talk to or reach out to a professor at any point in time is a key part of LRU. Your professors believe in you and will do anything to help you succeed.
What did you like most about your major?
Having creative freedom for almost every project.
