Adjunct Clinical Instructor – Pediatric Nursing

La Roche University is seeking qualified candidates for an Adjunct Clinical Instructor position in Pediatric Nursing for our innovative Direct Entry Master of Science in Nursing (DEMSN) program—the first such program in Pennsylvania.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct, manage, and evaluate student learning during pediatric clinical experiences at local healthcare facilities and the University’s Clinical Simulation Center
  • Facilitate the development of age-appropriate assessment skills, family-centered care approaches, and clinical reasoning in various pediatric settings
  • Guide students in providing developmentally appropriate care to children from infancy through adolescence
  • Assist students in integrating pediatric theory with clinical practice, specific to course learning outcomes
  • Collaborate with course instructors on student learning activities, progress, and concerns
  • Support students in developing cultural competence in pediatric care and effective communication with children and families

Education/Qualifications:

  • Current Pennsylvania RN license and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required
  • Minimum of 2 years pediatric nursing experience required
  • Clinical teaching experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with pediatric simulation scenarios a plus

This is considered an adjunct faculty position. Adjunct faculty are hired for specific teaching assignments and contracts are distributed on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of future contracts. Applicants for this position must have current legal authorization to work in the United States.
