Head Coach – Women’s Volleyball

La Roche University, a member of the NCAA – Division III, invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Women’s Volleyball. The Head Coach is responsible for all facets of the program including instruction, planning, supervision, recruiting and compliance with conference regulations. This coaching opportunity is considered a part time, contracted position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct existing women’s volleyball program; overall management of team with support from La Roche’s Athletics Department.  
  • Understand and ensure compliance with all NCAA, University, and Department policies and regulations. 
  • Manage the recruitment process of future student athletes to maintain and enhance the program, while adhering to NCAA regulations.
  • Serve as an Athletics–Admissions liaison, supporting institutional enrollment goals by assisting in the recruitment of all prospective student-athletes.
  • Coach student athletes in all phases of the sport; includes practice time, rules and regulations and standards for intercollegiate play.
  • Assist athletic department with additional tasks which support department goals and university objectives, representing a portion of the position.
  • Represent the University with integrity, ethical behavior and professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years coaching experience
  • Ability to travel and work varied schedule, including weekend and evening hours
  • Understanding of recruitment and eligibility rules, particularly those set by NCAA.
  • Valid driver’s license
