La Roche University Extends Support to Students Affected by Pittsburgh Technical College Closure

PITTSBURGH, June 13, 2024 – In response to the recent announcement of the closure of Pittsburgh Technical College (PTC), La Roche University stands ready to assist and support students facing uncertainty during the transition period.

“There’s no doubt PTC students are experiencing angst and frustration. We want them to know that La Roche University is dedicated to offering a seamless pathway for PTC students to continue their academic journey and achieve their educational goals,” said Executive Director for Enrollment Hope Schiffgens.

Many of La Roche’s more than 50 majors align with programs offered at PTC, including:

In addition to academic support, La Roche is committed to assisting PTC students with the transfer process, including credit evaluation and financial aid counseling. La Roche accepts up to 90 transfer credits and awards merit scholarships to transfer students of up to $17,000.

Housing is available for Fall 2024, and PTC students are eligible for La Roche’s $4,000 Resident Award if they choose to live on campus.

PTC students who visit and tour La Roche will receive a $1,000 grant applied toward their first year tuition.
