PITTSBURGH, Dec. 19, 2025 – La Roche University is pleased to announce the signing of a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ansan University in the Republic of Korea, further expanding the University’s international network and reinforcing its commitment to global education.

The agreement was formally endorsed by Christina A. Clark, Ph.D., President of La Roche University, and Dr. Dongyeol Youn, President of Ansan University, marking the beginning of a collaborative relationship grounded in shared academic values and a dedication to international engagement.

Under the terms of the MOU, La Roche University and Ansan University will pursue a broad range of cooperative initiatives designed to benefit students, faculty, and staff. Key areas of collaboration include student exchanges with a focus on health-related disciplines such as nursing, radiologic technology, physical therapy, and other allied health programs. The partnership also encompasses faculty and staff exchanges, academic information sharing, joint conferences and workshops, collaborative research, dual-degree pathways at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as short-term language, field experience, and practicum opportunities. Together, these initiatives will foster cross-cultural competencies, enrich academic and clinical learning experiences, and support workforce readiness.

Founded in 1972 and located in Gyeonggi Province, Ansan University is a private institution accredited under the Korean Ministry of Education’s institutional quality assurance system for vocational higher education. The university offers a wide array of programs with particular strengths in health and wellness, including nursing, physical therapy, radiologic sciences, and clinical laboratory studies. Ansan University also provides programs in beauty and applied arts, food and hospitality, social welfare, early childhood education, and internationally oriented majors such as Tourism English, Tourism Chinese, and International Secretary programs. Known for its applied-learning curriculum, Ansan University integrates hands-on instruction, industry partnerships, specialized laboratories, and field-based training to prepare students for professional certification and career readiness.

“Partnering with Ansan University creates exciting new opportunities for our students and faculty,” said Dr. Clark. “This collaboration will support cultural exchange, joint research, and innovative program development that benefit both institutions while strengthening global perspectives in health and allied sciences education.”

This MOU represents a significant milestone in La Roche University’s internationalization strategy. Through this partnership, both universities aim to expand academic mobility, enhance global understanding, and create meaningful educational experiences that prepare graduates to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.
