PITTSBURGH, Nov. 6, 2025 – La Roche University is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Consortium for Promoting Internationalization in Madhya Pradesh (CPIMP), India—a collaborative network of 78 universities and institutions dedicated to advancing internationalization, academic excellence, and global engagement across the state.

The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Christina Clark, President of La Roche University, and Dr. Nitin Rane, President of CPIMP, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering international academic partnerships, cross-cultural engagement, and innovative learning experiences for students and faculty across all participating institutions.

Under the terms of the MOU, La Roche University and CPIMP member institutions will collaborate on a variety of academic and professional initiatives, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, dual- and joint-degree programs, international conferences and workshops, and workforce development opportunities. The partnership also will promote short-term study programs, field experiences, and co-hosted seminars designed to enhance global perspectives and professional skills.

Established in January 2025, the Consortium for Promoting Internationalization in Madhya Pradesh (CPIMP) was launched through the leadership of Avantika University in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service and the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai. Serving as a platform for higher education institutions across Madhya Pradesh, CPIMP facilitates collaboration on international research, educational programming, and global partnerships. Madhya Pradesh—the second-largest state in India by area and fifth-largest by population, with approximately 89 million residents—is home to a diverse and dynamic network of universities and colleges serving both urban and rural communities. Through initiatives like CPIMP, the state is strengthening its position as a hub for innovation, research, and global education.

Through this new partnership, La Roche University, an independent institution in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for its focus on experiential learning, student-centered education, and global engagement, will work collaboratively with CPIMP’s member institutions to co-develop academic programs and research initiatives that enhance international learning and professional development. By combining La Roche’s expertise in liberal arts and professional disciplines with CPIMP’s extensive academic network, the collaboration will provide students with transformative educational experiences, cross-cultural exposure, and globally recognized credentials.

“CPIMP represents a dynamic network of institutions committed to internationalization and academic excellence,” said La Roche University President Christina Clark, Ph.D. “Through this partnership, we look forward to creating meaningful programs and initiatives that broaden student and faculty perspectives, encourage innovation, and strengthen global academic collaboration.”

This agreement marks a significant milestone in La Roche University’s growing network of global partnerships. Together, La Roche University and CPIMP will advance academic innovation, intercultural understanding, and international engagement that will benefit students, faculty, and educational communities in both India and the United States.
