Join us in the Conference Center at Kearns Spirituality Center as Brother Elliott Maloney, O.S.B., reads selections from his memoir, 6928 Thomas Boulevard: A Pittsburgh Boyhood, a personal reflection on growing up in Pittsburgh’s North Point Breeze neighborhood during the 1950s. Through memories of family life, childhood friendships, his years at Holy Rosary School and the central role of faith and parish life, Brother Elliott offers a look at a bygone era while inviting audiences to reflect on childhood, family, faith and how children are raised today.
A monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe and professor of New Testament and Biblical Languages at Saint Vincent Seminary, Brother Elliott has received two Catholic Press Association Awards for books on the Gospel of Mark and Saint Paul.
The event is free and open to the public. Guests also can enjoy a complimentary dessert and coffee bar. The event is co-sponsored by the Sisters of Divine Providence as part of their 150th anniversary celebration.
