La Roche University Establishes Strategic Academic Partnership with Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology

PITTSBURGH, Mar. 10, 2026 – La Roche University is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology (CUMT) in Taiwan, marking a significant advancement in the University’s global health sciences partnerships and expanding its international academic engagement in East Asia.

The agreement was formally signed by Christina A. Clark, Ph.D., President of La Roche University, and Bih-O Lee, Ph.D., President of Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology, establishing a framework for collaboration grounded in academic excellence, reciprocity, and long-term institutional partnership.

Under the terms of the MOU, La Roche University and CUMT will pursue a broad range of cooperative initiatives designed to benefit students, faculty, and administrative staff at both institutions. Areas of collaboration include student exchanges at the undergraduate and graduate levels, faculty and staff mobility, collaborative research initiatives, joint academic conferences and workshops, and the exchange of academic materials and expertise. The agreement also provides a foundation for the development of dual-degree programs, short-term language and field-based programs, and cooperation in practicum placements and workforce development initiatives.

Located in Taiwan, Chung Hwa University of Medical Technology is widely recognized as a leading institution in medical technology and health sciences education. The university has earned a strong national reputation for excellence in healthcare training, applied clinical education, and professional certification preparation. CUMT offers a comprehensive portfolio of programs in nursing, medical laboratory science, radiologic technology, health sciences, long-term care management, and related allied health disciplines.
