Family Nurse Practitioner
The Family Nurse Practitioner Post Master’s Certificate Program at La Roche University is a part-time program designed for nurses who are seeking to advance their education and train as professional nurses.
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program is structured to provide students with a comprehensive education in advanced nursing practice, including diagnostic and treatment skills, decision making, health promotion and disease prevention, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other health care providers.
With a focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care, La Roche’s FNP program prepares graduates to provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients and their families.

Admissions Requirements
Post-Masters FNP Certificate Program Admission Requirements Policy
Students applying through the Graduate Studies and Adult Education Department must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Copy of current RN license
- BSN and MSN from an accredited program, or MSN only if the entry-level nursing program was at the master’s degree level.
- Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above from the previous educational program
- At least one year of professional experience as a registered nurse at commencement of practicum.
Candidate must also submit:
- Official University transcripts from all programs attended
- Current resume or CV
International Applicants
International students applying for admission to the La Roche University FNP Program through the Graduate Studies and Adult Education Department must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Complete the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) process. [CGFNS, 3600 Market Street, Fourth Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19104-2651.]
- Copy of a US nursing license (to meet practicum experience hours in the program).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above from previous educational program.
- BSN/ MSN degree from an accredited program
In addition to meeting the standard academic criteria for the program to which you are applying, international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency. All international students must take one of the tests indicated below and meet the university minimum score requirement:
- A minimum TOEFL iBT of 79
- A minimum IELTS overall band score of 6.5
- A minimum Duolingo English test score of 105
- Proof of 1000 hours of clinical practice experience within the past year in a US healthcare agency prior to admission.
