Scholarships

By establishing a scholarship at La Roche University, you can help students with great academic potential achieve a higher education and lifelong success.

While La Roche University works intentionally to keep tuition well below the national average for private institutions, many students still fall short in their ability to pay. More than 90 percent of La Roche students receive financial aid.

Endowed Scholarships

Endowed scholarships are ideal for donors who wish to make a lasting and significant philanthropic investment in the education of students at La Roche University.

A minimum gift of $50,000 is now required to establish an endowed scholarship. This can be funded through cash gifts (paid in a lump sum or over a period of up to five years), securities, or a bequest. Once created, the endowed scholarship fund is permanently invested in the University’s endowment, and the income generated will provide scholarship aid to students each year in perpetuity.

An endowed scholarship is designed to grow over time. As the principal value increases, the amount the University can award to students in the future also grows—ensuring that your gift benefits generations of students for years to come.

Annual Scholarships

Annual scholarships, which are not endowed, are established with the intent that all donated funds are distributed to students over time. An annual scholarship can be created with a minimum commitment of $12,500, which may be pledged over a period of up to five years. Additional contributions can be made to the fund at any time.

Many donors choose annual scholarships as a way to provide immediate support to students. They often continue to replenish the fund through ongoing gifts, ensuring sustained impact year after year.

Create a Scholarship Today

You can choose to create a scholarship in your name, or in honor or memory of a loved one. In creating a scholarship, you also can help to determine the eligibility criteria for students, including merit and/or financial need, specific areas of academic interest or other factors.
